So I know I'm always on about how amazing everything is but let me just reserve this moment to really say how amazing the treehouse music festival was! The festival, despite the name, wasn't actually held in the treehouse but it was held just down the road in Julian and Juliette's barn. The usual venue for such an event. The performers were P.G. Six, Meg Baird and Hiss Golden Messenger and their acoustic lilts were all perfectly matched with a cold upstate night and a christmas lit barn. Meg even brought her dulcimer for the occasion!

Made a solo trip upstate this weekend on a whim. More of the same, but so fun. I filmed the ducks and chickens: weird.
I also found an enormous spider in the wee and may or may not have sprayed him with RustOleum. Must have been all the talk of brown recluses earlier in my day, I feel pretty guilty.

Kursten gave me this beautiful picture of the treehouse. It really captures the unassuming magic of upstate and my land, I love it. If you ever wondered what it was like to be up there, this picture says it all.

Ladies and gents, the weehouse is officially open for summer. I made a short trip up for memorial day weekend and it was beautiful. I spent most of the time walking my land trying to decipher all the lovely medicinal plants in their spring proliferation. We also took to clearing some ground cover and planting some not-so-native medicinal plants, let's hope they take root. Also... Winnie has two new baby ducks! Nothing quite as cute as a baby duck.

A snowy, waist deep weekend with a lovely trip to Bovina's new cafe Heaven. Where it is, indeed, teacup heaven! The picture of the pink cup is for my good friend Ruby Pruett.
